She was born Sept. 18, 1923 to Stephen and Catherine Smit in Rotterdam, Zuid, The Netherlands.
She was a very energetic source of life and generosity amongst her 10 Dutch brothers and sisters and their families and amongst her own immediate family, and a life-long lover of music and singing.
Marie was also much loved by her many nieces and nephews. She treasured her Catholic faith and frequently advocated its benefits to others.

FRASER, D. Ian - On May 2, 2021 at the age of 90, Ian passed away in Toronto.
Born in Perth, Ontario on February 20, 1931, only child of Donald and Doris Fraser.
Survived by his wife of 65 years, Patricia and daughters Pamela Valentine, Alison Abou-Heif Ovenell, Margot Withey and Jill Fraser.
Ian was a devoted family man who demonstrated warmth, humility, generosity and kindness in his daily life.
He was always interested and involved in the lives of his four daughters and nine grandchildren.

She passed peacefully, with her four children by her side, after a long life of 81 years filled with courage, love, laughter, glamour, good food, and adventure upon adventure.

It is with great sadness that we, the family of Bud Harlow announce his passing on Sunday May 2, 2021 just shy of his 73rd birthday.
Bud was the beloved husband to Sharon (nee Howard). They shared so many adventures together as teenagers and in the almost 52 years they were married.

PILLAY, Ram "Dings" - Peacefully, on Sunday, May 2, 2021 Ram "Dings" Pillay waltzed his way into the afterlife. Having lived to the ripe young age of 94, Dings decided it was time to take the party elsewhere.
Dings had an adventure-filled life which flowed from the difficulties of Apartheid South Africa, to the political intrigues of the United Nations in 1960s New York, to the frozen tundra and family life of Toronto, Canada, to retirement and the lush glades of Port Charlotte, Florida.

RAYNER, Norma - April 1934 - May 2021 - Passed away peacefully on Sunday May 2, 2021 at the age of 87.
Predeceased by her parents Clifford and Alice Rayner and sister June (Don), Norma, was the youngest of five children including, Ron (Hazel), Don (Anne) and Bruce (Marg).
She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews.
Norma spent most of her life working for PPG Canada Inc.
She loved travelling and was an avid football and golf fan.

Jozefa peacefully passed away at Toronto General Hospital.
She was the beloved wife of Emil Petkovsek, loving mother to Emil Jr. (Sue), Danny (Barbara), and Edward (Julie).
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Lisa (Brett), Dan (Emily), Max (Mehr), Ben, David, Brian, Amy, and great-grandchild Leila.
Jozefa was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
She was the 3rd of eleven children born into the Zaletel family.
In 1956 she met and married Emil Petkovsek the love of her life.

KINAHAN, John “Wayne” - Of Toronto, Ontario passed away peacefully at Princess Margaret Hospital on May 2, 2021, with his loving wife Mary Louise, by his side.
He leaves behind his daughter, Christine Anne and her fiancé, Chris Jarvie, his sister, Patrice Jupp, and brother, Brian Kinahan (Susan Jackson).
As well, he leaves his stepdaughters, Claire Elyse and Melissa (Greg Morris).
Wayne will always be Papa to his beloved granddaughter, Teagan Morris.
Wayne will be missed by many cousins and other family members.

CIPELLI, Joseph (Giuseppe) - On the morning of May 2, 2021 at the age of 93.
Born November 13, 1927 in Piacenza, Italy.
Joseph is survived by several cousins in Italy to whom he always felt deep affection.
He arrived in Canada in 1955 where he built a successful agrifood commodity business and created a wine trading company.
He had a true entrepreneurial spirit, travelled the world, adored Canada’s ski hills, was an avid reader and was an Honorary Donor to St. Michael’s Hospital.

HOOPER, Frank - Passed away peacefully in Oakville, on May 2, 2021, reuniting with his beloved wife Gay who passed away in 2016.
He is survived by his 2 children and 3 grandchildren.
Frank was an outstanding engineer and a much loved teacher whose students benefited from his excellent ability to communicate with them.
Special thanks to all of the staff at Sunrise of Oakville for extraordinary care they offered to Frank and his family during his time there.

KAROSAS, Aldona - On May 2, 2021, Aldona Karosas passed away peacefully, at Labdara Lithuanian Nursing Home in Toronto.
Beloved sister of Neris Ankus.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters Kristina, Ramona (Christopher), Lina (Eric) and Jasmine as well as her grandchildren Loreta, Mykolas, Lucas, Katrina, Brigit, Ariel, and great-grandchildren Alexander and Amelia.
Born in 1934 in Lithuania, Aldona came to Canada with her mother and sisters as post-war refugees.
Here, she and her family found a home in a community of proud new Canadians who maintained a deep love of their homeland and sought to maintain their heritage through their many religious and cultural activities.

NEWIS, Glen - Passed away peacefully at Leacock Care Centre on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the age of 78.
Glen, beloved and sorely missed by his wife Gail Carter, his two beautiful daughters Stephanie Malcolm (Dan) and Tracey Nelson (Dan), his step-son Cairo Hollingsworth, the Malcolm grandchildren Callen, Mackenzie, Brayden, and Zachary; the Nelson grandchildren James, Kelsey, Ian, and Lauren Mae.
Also bereaved by his step-grandchildren Jossalyne and Jordan Giordano. Glen had a Master's degree of Science in Education (Northern Illinois University) retired from teaching at Boyne River Natural Science School run by Toronto District Board of Education.
He was a supporter and activist of working toward a clean, pristine world environment.

Married to Lesley (nee Hemingway) November 23, 1963. He is survived by wife Lesley, children Katherine, Elizabeth and husband Chris, Jesse and wife Alysa, Christopher and wife Christine, and grandchildren William, Thomas, Reya, Wini, Ruby, Ava, Seth and Indie, sister Shirley, nephews Glenn and wife Teresa, Gary, niece Gail and husband John.
Bill lived most of his life in Toronto and area.
