FREITAS, Mauricio Serpa - It is with deep sadness the Freitas family announce the passing of Mauricio on February 4, 2021, while surrounded by his family, at the age of 85.
Mauricio was born in Flores, Acores, then moved to Terceira, Acores in his teenage years and eventually moving to Canada in 1966.
Mauricio was a man of many things and most importantly he was a husband of over 61 years to Adelina Castro Freitas.

KUSZELEWSKI, Wladyslaw Ryszard - Born on December 6, 1922 in Eastern Poland, passed away quietly in Kensington Gardens in Toronto, on the evening of February 4, 2021.
He leaves behind, his beloved wife of 73 years, Wanda, nee Mackowiak and his children, Ray, Dana, Edward and his wife Mira, and George and his wife Iwona, and his beloved grandchildren, Nichole, Eric, Roman, Micheal, Mark and Alicia.
Walter arrived in Canada after liberation by the Allies, from a displaced persons camp in Germany, where he was indentured to go to work at a Bissett gold mine in Manitoba.

HOWE, Mary Helen (nee DURANT) - Passed away peacefully at her home in Leaside on Thursday, February 4, 2021.
Predeceased by her husband Lloyd G. Howe (2018) who she shared 66 wonderful years of marriage with.
Mary is survived by her 3 devoted daughters, Lona (David), Lorrie (Allan), Lynne (Jared), 12 amazing grandchildren, 12 soon to be 14 great-grandchildren and her dear sister/best friend, Norma Bromley.
Mary lived a truly blessed life.
She married the love of her life Lloyd in 1952, they moved to Leaside in 1955 where they raised their 3 loving daughters. Mary and Lloyd enjoyed their winters in Fort Lauderdale, summers at the cottage on Lake Simcoe, and at their lovely home overlooking the mountains in Banff.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Georgina Patricia Gough announces her sudden passing. She passed peacefully on February 3, 2021 with her beloved husband of 49 years by her side.
She will be missed by husband William Edward Gough; children Julia (Matthew), Michael, Ashley (Victor), and Jennifer (Joseph); grandchildren Alexandra Georgina, Ryan, Carter, Gabriel, Owen, and Brooke; sister Lisa Haga-Wozney; nieces and nephews; as well as extended family, friends, and former colleagues and students.

CLUETT, Shawn Stanley - (June 14, 1965 – February 3, 2021) - Shawn passed away unexpectedly, albeit the way he would have wanted to, quietly while sleeping at his home due to a heart attack.
Shawn was the common-law husband to Christina, father to Jessica, son to Carolyn, brother to Michelle and Lisa, chosen brother to Michael, uncle to Jacob, Joshua, Carson, and Spencer, and beloved friend to many.
Shawn was also a hard-working entrepreneur who contributed to the Canadian fire protection industry for the past 31 years.

DUPLANTIS, Thomas 'Tom' - Tom passed away suddenly on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 63 years of age.
He was a long time Brampton resident and will be dearly missed. His kindness, smile and love of music are just a few of the memories we will cherish.

Tom was predeceased by his parents Tom and Ruth Duplantis and brother Steve.

We are very sad to announce the passing of both John (1946 - 2021) and Meg (1946 - 2020) Patten of Newmarket.
John Patten passed peacefully on February 3, 2021 in the company of his family.
He was predeceased by his wife Meg on May 3, 2020.
They are survived by their children Tracy Harris (Scott), Stephen Patten (Jocelyn) and their grandchildren Anthony, Nicholas, Sarah, Ada and Cole.

She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 52 years, Rosario Tiano and her three children; Robyn (Dwaine), Mike (Leanne), and Laura (Mike).
She will also be missed by her grandchildren.
Donna worked at Stock Transportation for 20 years as a special needs driver.

Giuseppina was born on March 5, 1929 in Pisterzo, Latina and passed away on February 3, 2021 in Kleinberg, Ontario, Canada at the age of 91 years.
Predeceased by the love of her life, Angelo and missed by her children Domenic (Anna), Eleanor (Claudio), and Mary (Danny).

JESIN, Isaac - On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, after 101 beautiful years, Isaac Jesin z’l passed away peacefully with his wife, Basia, and his caregivers at his side.
Married for over 72 years, he and Basia built a beautiful and successful life in Canada and he was the patriarch of a large family that spans the globe.
He moved to Canada shortly after the war with his wife, young son and a “few dollars in his pocket." Working hard to create a new life, he became a poultry farmer in Smithville, Ontario. Eventually, he moved the family to Toronto, and opened up a poultry plant and retail store, 'St. Andrew’s Poultry' in Kensington Market, which flourished for over 40 years.
Ultimately, he was a founding partner of Chai Kosher Poultry, which grew to become the largest supplier of kosher poultry across Canada.

SILVERMAN, Frances (nee Kitrick) - (January 17,1924 – February 3, 2021) - Peacefully at Hillel Lodge, Ottawa, in her 97th year.
Frances was the daughter of Esther Anne and Joseph Kitrick and mother of Rosalind (Henning) and Joe.
Frances was a warm, gracious woman whose gentle wit delighted all who knew her. She was a woman of quiet strength who never flagged over the course of her long life. Her greatest and most immeasurable gift was allowing those she loved to be truly themselves.
Predeceased by her brother Sidney, her husband James Silverman, to whom she was wed for 64 years, and her son in law Brian.

FINKELSHTAIN, Jenny - On Tuesday, February 3rd, 2021 at midnight on the dot, Jenny Finkelshtain passed away peacefully and gracefully in her sleep.
Jenny built a beautiful family alongside Reuben, her beloved husband of 56 years. She was surrounded by love until her last moments, and always made sure to give more than she received.
Jenny was a fighter in every sense of the word. She moved to Canada with nothing but the clothes on her back and the stories of her ancestors. She lost her beloved son, Sam Finkelshtain, who she can now be reunited with. Battling cancer on five separate occasions, and all the other hardships she faced, she found a way to embrace every day with a smile.
