PARKINSON, Jean (nee Arscott) - (1930 – 2021) - Mary Jean Parkinson passed away peacefully on September 9th, 2021 at age 91.

She was the wife of the late Elgin Parkinson and mother of Bruce, (Laurie), Mary Ann and Ross (Carolyn). Proud grandmother of Kevin and Kelly Bowman and Danielle and Jake Parkinson.

Jean was the daughter of Herb and Mary Arscott of Brampton. Survived by her sister in law Joanne Wilson and bother in law John Purdon. Predeceased by her brother Allan Arscott and sister Betty Browning.

Jean graduated from the University of Toronto in Physical Therapy in 1952. She helped establish the first Physical Therapy department at Peel Memorial Hospital. Later in life she became involved in the travel industry.

Throughout the years Jean spent time with her family cottaging and sailing at Gloucester Pool, boating through Georgian Bay and downhill skiing.

In keeping with Jean’s wishes, Funeral arrangements are private. Arrangements are entrusted with Scott funeral home, Brampton chapel.

In loving memory of Jean, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
