VEROBA, Arthur Albert Veroba
April 19, 1938 - June 14, 2026
He passed away on the afternoon of Sunday, June 14th 2026. Born on April 19th and raised on a farm in Saskatchewan, Art knew the meaning of hard work and the importance of family. As a child he rode to school on horseback, he focused on studies, eventually putting himself through university and earning several degrees, including; B.Sc. (U Sask), as well as a MSW (UBC). Art was a Social Worker for the Scarborough Separate School Board for more than 30 years. A man of multi-talents, Art knew how to fix almost anything. He greatly enjoyed playing music with friends and family, and could play many instruments by ear. His many passions also included travelling, camping, boating, baseball, skiing, hiking, as well as games and puzzles with family.
Arthur Albert Veroba is fondly remembered by his wife of 64 years Lorraine, sons David (Liz) and Stephen (Darlene), grandchildren Erica (Giancarlo), Colin (Doug), Chelsea (Adam) and Miranda, great grandchildren Grayson, Charlotte, Madalena and Gia, and his brother Carl (Roberta). He was predeceased by brothers Donald (Eileen), Allan (Malleen), and Bruce (Joanne).
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Life for Art with Barnes Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, June 22nd between 1pm and 4pm at the Oshawa & District Shrine Club at 1626 Simcoe Street North in Oshawa, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
