HATFIELD, Clayton Elbert Hatfield

It is with the most heavy of hearts that we announce the passing of Clayton Elbert Hatfield (a.k.a. Sonny) on Saturday, July 4, 2026. He departed this world as he had wished to, sleeping peacefully at home surrounded by his wife and children.

It is impossible to sum up how great of a man Clayton was, or what lengths he went to for those that he loved. He was funny, talented, considerate, supportive, and a true rock for those in his life. Those few words do not do him justice. No amount of words ever could.

His family meant everything to him, and he meant everything to his family. He was a dedicated father and grandfather. He loved and was loved by so many people. And, of course, there was no love like the one he shared with his wife of almost 54 years.

Clayton is survived by his wife (Josephine), three children (John Paul, Clayton, Mandy; and their respective partners), and five grandchildren (Jeffrey, Nicolas, Michael, Kaitlin, Noah). He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all of his family and friends.
