Barrett Toshiro Tsuji-Carr, Aka The Mad Prophet, Mr Fuji, Fujila, Kid Entrepreneur and Local Daimyo. A cherished soul known for his Creative spoken word, saxophone playing who had a beautiful mind, passed away on August 8, 2024.
Born to Blythe Tsuji and Vernon Gallant on April 1, 1974, Barrett was a beacon of Creativity and kindness throughout his 50 years. He will be Sadly Missed by his Mom, Blythe Tsuji & Rod James and his Dad John Carr & Lexanne Cooper. Sister Aja Shipperley & Jason Shipperley (Craig, Leland & Shelby), Brothers Kane Carr and Heron Carr & Susanna Beliavsky. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
From the start Barrett was always a lovely funny charismatic person. He was always willing to be dressed up in costume by his mother and friends.
He could do the moonwalk and was incredible breakdancer and skateboarder who helped tech the neighborhood kids an ollie or a kickflip
He break danced so much that he developed a divot in his back from it. But mostly he was a prolific lyricist and skilled saxophone player who loved Jazz, especially the music of his favorite musician Charlie Parker “Bird”. Barrett had an infectious smile and a maniacal laugh. He rapped with the strength of a thesaurus, the whole dictionary on the tip of his tongue. Barrett was brilliant.
Barrett loved his family and we loved him.
Barrett will be missed greatly.
He is now up in the heavens with his Grandparents Roy and Susan Tsuji looking down on all of us, playing his Saxophone in the sky.
The immediate family had a private viewing on Wednesday August 14, 2024 to say their goodbye’s and will hold a celebration of life at a later date to be announced.
