Naresh Kumar Chand

March 30, 1957 – December 10, 2024

Surrounded by family, our beloved father, Naresh Kumar Chand, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 10, 2024. A devoted father, loving husband of 35 years, and faithful servant of God, Naresh lived his life with unwavering love, kindness, and faith in Christ.

Born on March 30, 1957, in Mansoorpur, Punjab, Naresh immigrated to Ontario in 1990 and later became a cherished member of People’s Church congregation. He devoted much of his time and energy to serving others and spreading the message of God’s love. Known for his humility, generosity, and joy, he had a special ability to lift the spirits of everyone he encountered.

Throughout his life, Naresh exemplified the love of Christ through his actions and his care for others, including his work as a developmental support worker and educational assistant. His wisdom, kindness, and steadfast faith were a guiding light for his family and community. Through his immense trials, he remained a man of prayer, even to his final days; always trusting in God’s plan and sharing His love with those around him.

Naresh was a constant source of strength and guidance to his children, a caring brother, and uncle. His legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire us all. Naresh is predeceased by his parents Nasib and Mercy Chand, and brothers Nirmal, Nirdosh, and Narinder Chand. Lovingly remembered by wife Brij, children Joyna and Patrick (Megan), and sisters Nirmala (Surjit) Ram and Promila (Sunil) Dass, along with a host of dear friends and extended family.

Visitations will be held on December 15th at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, beginning at 2:00-4:00 PM & 6:00-8:00 PM. A Christian funeral service will follow on December 16th at 11:00 AM, led by Pastor Carl Sawler at Harmony Baptist Church, with burial at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.

The family invites everyone to join in sharing a meal following the burial ceremony. Lunch will be held at Harmony Baptist Church.

May the peace of Christ, which transcends all understanding, comfort all who mourn the loss of this precious soul. We rejoice knowing that Naresh is now resting in the arms of his Savior, awaiting the day when all will be reunited in His eternal Kingdom.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight” – Proverbs 3:5-6
