DITTA, Christine (nee Turvey), R.N. - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Christine on April 8, 2016 at home in her 60th year.
Devoted wife and soulmate to Vince for 37 years. Loving mother and best friend to Vanessa (Peter), Steve (Reina) and David (Emily). Adored and proud grandmother of Sofia.
Dear daughter of Ronald and the late Anita Turvey. Loving sister of Rosalyn (Gerry) Thomson and Carol (Mike) Garvey. Cherished daughter-in-law of Vito and Sally Ditta and sister-in-law of Sandra (Brian) McLeish.
She will also be missed by nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, Grandpuppies and colleagues in the ICU unit.
Late in life and overcoming adversities, Christine realized her childhood dream of becoming a Registered Nurse. As an RN in ICU at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, she demonstrated a genuine passion for patients and peers alike. Christine was an avid quilter and enjoyed life to its fullest.
Cremation. Visitation at Bay Gardens funeral home, Hamilton on Tuesday, April 12th from 6 - 9pm, as well as on Wednesday, April 13th from 2 - 4pm and 6 - 9pm. Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14th at 11:00 am.
Memorial donations in honour of Christine may be made to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
