Gloria Jean Demers (née Brander)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gloria Jean Demers (née Brander) on November 13, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 1, 1951, in Oakville, Ontario, Gloria lived a life full of love, kindness, and strength.

Gloria was the devoted wife of Darol Demers, with whom she shared a bond of unwavering love. She was a cherished mother to Jamie (Kathleen), Laura (Troy), and Daryl (Eric) and a proud and adoring "Meme" to her grandchildren, Dylan, Kade, Quinn, and Kieran. Gloria's warmth and kindness extended to all her family and friends.

A dedicated hairstylist, Gloria served her community through her own shop and at local nursing homes, where she brought comfort and joy to her clients. Her fierce love, loyalty, and ability to treat clients like family made her an integral part of the community.

Gloria faced her cancer journey with courage and on her own terms, surrounded by the family she adored. Her family has celebrated her life as she lived it—filled with love, laughter, and fond memories, often with a beer raised in her honor.
