Carreau Jean LouisCARREAU, Jean-Louis “John” – Suddenly, on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket.

John was the devoted partner of Marian Sinclair.

Loving father of Christopher (Rosemarie) Carreau, Scott (Rebel) Carreau and Julie Alward.

He will also be dearly missed by his five grandchildren.

John leaves behind his siblings, Diane Carreau, Rene (Linda) Carreau, Paul (Carolin), Anne (Bill) Thompson, Robert “Bob” (Maureen) Carreau and Suzanne “Suzie” (Terry) Skarlatakis.

Predeceased by his parents Lucien and Rosalie Carreau and his brother Gerard Carreau.

Family will receive friends at the Mangan Funeral Home, on Friday, November 13th, from 11 am until time of memorial service at 12 noon.

Passed away at home on Thursday, November 5th, 2015 at the age of 35 with loving friends and family at her side.

Beloved daughter of Debbie and the late Edward Giles.

Dear sister of Edward (Holly), Jim (Skye) and Jennifer, will be missed by her stepdad Steve Campbell.

Visitation will be held at OSHAWA FUNERAL HOME, 847 King Street West on Sunday, November 8th, from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, November 9th, at 11:00 a.m.  Interment to follow  at Resurrection Cemetery.

SUMMERS, Miles James -

Summers MilesMiles passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Thursday November 5, 2015 surrounded by the love of his family.

Miles will be deeply missed by his much loved wife Anne. 

Devoted and loved father of Shelley and her husband John Phillips, Susan and her husband Brian Grylls and Jay Summers and his wife Cindy. 

Proud and loving Poppa of Alexandria & Wesley Phillips, Matthew & Margaret Grylls and Madison, Mackenzie & Lexie Summers.

 

Miles, son of the late Blossom & Borden Summers, predeceased by his sister Barbara Baxter and is the loyal and loved brother of Karen Ferguson (Gordon).

Miles loved spending time with all his extended families and his many wonderful friends.  He was an avid sports fan, enjoyed travel and the cottage life but his greatest joy was following his children & grandchildren in their many adventures and spending quality time with each of them.

Miles retired in 2000 as Senior Vice President of Scotts Restaurant.  He was a devoted volunteer for the Whitby Senior Centre, Meals on Wheels, Community Care Durham and an active member of St. Marks United Church.

Family and friends will be received for visitation at BARNES MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 5295 Thickson Rd. N. Whitby 905-655-3662 on Monday November 9th from 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00.  Visitation will also commence at St. Marks United Church (201 Centre St. Whitby) on Tuesday November 10th from 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service honouring Miles’ life at 11:00 a.m.

Miles will be laid to rest at GROVESIDE CEMETERY Brooklin.

Memorial donations may be made to the Scarborough Hospital Foundation Oncology Clinic or St. Mark’s United Church.

Loving and proud Nana to Angelo, Jacob and Kaitlyn.

Sister to Myrna (Lloyd) Henry, Willard (Marilyn) Lawrence, Lelland (Joan) Lawrence, Roger (Joann) Lawrence and predeceased by Garnet.

Sister in law to Pauline Lawrence. Helen will be sadly missed by all her extended family, friends and all who knew her.

Loved grandmother of Mark Fletcher and his wife Stephanie of Port Perry and Deron Fletcher and his wife Cheryl of Oshawa and great grandmother of Emma, Reese, Myah and Macgwire.

Dear sister of June and her husband Grenville Sine of Frankford, Shirley and her late husband Eugene Coulter of Belleville, Frank Meyers and his wife Marjorie of Trenton and she was predeceased by her sisters Evelyn and Ila Meyers and her infant brother John Robert Meyers.

The family of Elsie Hagerman will receive friends at the Wagg Funeral Home, 216 Queen Street in Port Perry, on Monday, November 9th from 10 – 11:30 a.m.

A Service to celebrate her life will be held in the Chapel at 11:30 a.m. followed by a reception.

Following the interment there will be a reception held in Muriel's memory held at the funeral home.
