GIBSON Ron 'Gibby' -   July 10, 1953 - September 1, 2015

All too often the great ones are taken from us far too early.

A hero to some, family to others and friend to many.

We have come to the time where we will remember all the positive things and happy times we were able to share together.

As a former General Motors employee Ron has met many people he now calls friends.

He leaves behind love and hope for all those searching it. He will dearly be missed by all those who have known him.

MURPHY, Norah Anne “Noreen” (nee Doyle) -  July 24, 1929 - August 29, 2015, Born in Dublin, Ireland.

Passed away peacefully at Hillsdale Estates, Oshawa after courageously facing many health challenges with her husband of 63 years by her side. 

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Noel and her children Miriam (Vito), Michael (Donna), Geraldine (Daniel) and Barbara (Mike); her grandchildren Andrea (Chris), Danielle (Rob), Sal (Jen), Daniel, Jeffrey and Matthew and her great granddaughters Violet and Rosie.

Noreen is survived by her brothers Sean (Phyllis) and Seamus and in Ireland her sisters-in-law Pat Doyle and Phil Reddy as well as many nieces and nephews around the world who were very dear to her.

Visitation will be held at the DESTEFANO FUNERAL HOME, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Wednesday, September 2nd from 11:00am until 12:30pm. 

A Service to Celebrate Noreen’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel at 12:30pm.  Interment Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, a donation  to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

MARLOW, Doreen -  Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, August 28, 2015 at Taunton Mills at the age of 90 years. 

Beloved wife of the late George. 

Loving mother of Linda and John Manners and Goerge and Linda Marlow. 

Cherished grandma of 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

At Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Friday, August 28th, 2015. Derek, in his 59th year.

Beloved son of George and Mary "Helena" Dunham.

Peacefully on Thursday, August 20, 2015, in his 22nd year.

Born to Terry and Lynn Pedias and remembered by brothers Justin, his twin Jordan and Jonathan, and grandparents Bryan and Joan Mathieu of Mississauga, and Mr. and Mrs. Pedias of Toronto, aunts, uncles and their families.

Will be lovingly remembered by his Associate Mom and Dad, Terry and Bonny Kemp who have raised Jeff since his birth.

January 28, 1973 – March 2, 2015

With family at his side, passed away peacefully at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on Monday, March 2nd, 2015, in his 43rd year.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Leanne (Gibbens), son Nicholas, daughter Katie, mother Joanne and sister Lesya (Jim Reed).

Loved son-in-law of Paul and Carol Gibbens. T.J. will be dearly missed by sisters-in-law Lesley (Mark Cassidy) and Laura (Jamie Osmond).

He will be missed by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins as well as numerous friends and business associates.

T.J. owned and operated Laskowsky & Laskowsky Law Firm for many years with father Tony (predeceased). He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Service will be held at ST. GEORGE’S UKRAINIAN CATHOLIC CHURCH (597 Albert St., Oshawa) on Saturday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m. Panachyda at the Church on Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 p.m.

SHAW, Jim  -  October 25, 1937 – February 1, 2014 

Peacefully, passed away with his loving wife and daughter by his side on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 76 years of age.

Loving husband of Marjorie for 53 years.

Cherished father of Shawn-Marie (Kim), Catherine, Sue Ann (Jeff) and Dana (Jim).

Devoted Papa of David, Renata, Curtis, Kaya, Renee, Sara, Eli and great grandfather of Aria. He will be sadly missed by his four legged companion Lady.

Dear brother of George (Nancy) and the late Ralph/Duke (Dorita).

He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and his friends in his euchre club. Jim’s second love was his charitable work and sports.

He was an inductee to the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame in May of 2000 for The Legion Baseball Team.
