In Loving Memory
It is with sadness beyond words that I announce the passing of Veronica (Ronni) Jones, who passed away peacefully at home on the morning of January 24, 2025, with her son, Jay, by her side.
My mom was the strongest person I had ever met, beating all odds to live to 89 despite having battled COVID-19 and successfully overcoming cancer last September. Unfortunately, dementia took its toll over the past eight years, and a mild case of pneumonia was just too much.
Ronni LOVED her gardens. Even during her illness, she found joy in fresh flowers, listening to music 24 hours a day, smiling, and hugging her stuffed animals. Through it all, she never once complained and remained at peace through the harsh reality of end-stage dementia.
Dad is in heaven waiting for you, ready to spend the next stage of your journey together. The two of you will have an amazing eternity.

In Loving Memory
After a brief illness, our beloved mother passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 63 years, Roger. Barbara dedicated her life to raising her family and will be deeply missed by her children, Anita (Glenn), Paul (Gail), and Laurie (Mark).
Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she will forever be remembered by Shanley (Daniel), Shawn (Amanda), and Bryce. She also took great joy in being a Nanny to her great-grandchildren, Finley, Callum, Makai, and Raiden.
For those who knew Barb and Roger (as there was never one without the other), they bore witness to a beautiful love story. They built a life so fulfilling that when she was recently asked whether there was anything she wished they had done but hadn’t, her response was simply "no." A life lived with no regrets is a precious gift she has left behind.
Over the years, they formed many friendships, and their door was always open for love, laughter, dancing, and plenty of food.
To the family and friends who have been by our side, we thank you. Your love and support have meant so much. A special thank you to Dr. Michael Borchuk for his exceptional care and kindness toward our mother—your compassion will always be remembered.
Mom, we are with you, you are with us—always together in our hearts. Go peacefully, free of pain. Your grandson BJ is waiting to welcome you with open arms.
As per her request, there will be no formal service. However, with her blessing, a celebration of life will be held in the summer to honor an exceptional wife, mother, and woman—with love, laughter, dancing, and plenty of food.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice.
Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at McEachnie Funeral Home.

He immigrated to Canada in 1972, determined to build a better future for his family. Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, he owned and operated several fish & chips shops, where he made a lasting impression on his customers. A social butterfly, he enjoyed striking up conversations with total strangers, debating politics, and making countless friends. Above all else, he cherished spending time with his family.
He will be greatly missed by his extended family and friends in Canada, Greece, and Australia.
Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort knowing that he is in heaven watching over us.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dudley Christopher Dulling, on January 17th, 2025, at the age of eighty-six, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.
Devoted husband of Fairlyn Dulling for 62 years. Loving father of Petula (late Bob Hsu), Natalie, and the late Dwayne Dulling.
Loving grandfather of Jessica (Anthony), Catherine, Joshua (Deanna), and Tiffany (Ryan).
Loving great-grandfather of Tiana, Marcus, and Zeylan.
Loving brother of Sonia Gomes (Darrell) and Olive Schokman. Survived by his many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
It was a blessing to have him in our lives because he truly knew what it was to give rather than to receive. He lived this every day. His generosity and love knew no bounds for his family, whom he always put first. His dry sense of humour kept us laughing. Dudley loved all types of music and spent countless hours recording songs for others to enjoy. In his youth, he belonged to a skiffle band in England and was often heard changing the lyrics to Christmas songs during church services.
Dudley was a pilot in the Royal Ceylon Airforce and performed jungle rescue missions and training. A strong athlete himself, he loved sports and being active outdoors. He shared this passion with his family, and weekends included fishing, camping, hiking, skating, cottaging, boating, swimming, and picnicking in Ontario.
Dudley has left an immeasurable void, and his memory will always remain imprinted in our hearts. Sing, run, dance, talk, bike, and laugh to your heart’s content, Dudley. Be free.

Born on May 18, 1922, Russ passed away peacefully, with family at his side, on January 21, 2025, at the amazing age of 102 and a half. Born in Brixton, Devon, England, he was a proud Canadian.
Russ met the love of his life, Mary, at Sunnyside Beach, and they were soulmates for 73 years, marrying at age 20 in 1942. Russ reported for Air Force duty for WWII the day after their wedding. His intelligence and diligence allowed him to achieve the highest score in training as a Morse Code operator. He was posted to rural outposts in northern British Columbia, including Bella Bella, where he captured foreign Morse Code messages during daily flights that were decrypted using the famous Enigma machine. After a few years of essential and dangerous service, Russ was discharged, receiving many medals acknowledging his contributions to the war effort.
After being home for just two weeks, he was summoned for service in the Army, where he served again in Ottawa. During this time, Russ and Mary were blessed with their first child, Jim, followed by their additional children: David, Ron, Susan, Patty, and Christine. Russ lived with Susan from 2007 until just before Christmas 2024, when his medical needs required professional care. During his month-long residency at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, he received outstanding care.
Russ’ life was enriched by his 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. As the family patriarch, he was so very proud of his family of 45 immediate members. His primary occupation was that of an accountant, working at Union Carbide and Supreme Welding.
Russ had three predominant passions in life: his family, his military service and his subsequent Legion membership of 78 years – he was their ‘ringer’ in Cribbage tournaments – and his trailer. Russ was also a skilled woodworker, turning this talent into a cottage industry alongside Mary, who contributed her ceramic pieces. He loved to golf and was an avid reader and crossword puzzle master.
Services will be held at McEachnie Funeral Home (28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax) on Saturday, January 25. Russ will be laid to rest beside Mary at Pine Ridge Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 606, or a charity of your choice.
