The Great Sandy Hale passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the age of 72. Known for his joy and laughter, Sandy lived a life filled with happiness, and his charismatic personality and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Born on April 19, 1952, Sandy displayed early talent in baseball, even being scouted by the Pittsburgh Pirates at the age of 15. Sandy is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Erin, and his children Lenny (Johanna), Laura (Chris), Rye (Mike), and Kate (Jesse). His brothers Rick (Karen), Bill (Amanda), and Jeff (Jenny), and in-laws Dave (Dianne) and Heather (Kevin), will also hold his memory close. He was cherished by his nieces, nephews, and friends who shared in his warmth and laughter.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Khandelwal and the dialysis nurses for their compassionate care. Details for a celebration of life will be announced at a later date to honor Sandy’s unforgettable journey and joyful spirit. His memory will forever bring a smile to those who knew him.
