PANTALEON, Isidoro Espino Pantaleon - Born in Manila, Philippines on April 4, 1930 (age 93) passed away on December 5, 2023, with family by his side.
Affectionately known as “Sidring” to close family and friends, and commonly known as “Sid”, he is survived by his beloved wife, Remedios; his children Ernesto (Didi) and Dina; his grandchildren Sabrina (Ryan), Darren (Dyra) and Joshua (Maryjo); his great grandson James; and his brothers Francisco Junior and Esmeraldo.
Sidring was predeceased by his parents Cristina and Francisco Sr; his brothers Enry and Rodolfo; and his sister Fe. With his wife and 2 children, Isidoro came to Canada in 1968 from the Philippines and made their home in the Toronto area.
A family man, Isidoro was a devoted husband to his wife of 67 years and a loving and dedicated father to his children.
He played a significant part in his grandchildren's lives, loving the time spent with them and his great grandson.
He thoroughly enjoyed fishing and camping in the early Canadian years, going on road trips to visit family and watching the Toronto Blue Jays.
He was a kind, gentle, and patient man who was fondly known for his light-hearted corny jokes. He loved making people smile and laugh.
Isidoro leaves behind an imprint of kindness and laughter on those who knew and loved him, and will be greatly missed. Rest in everlasting peace Dad, Grandpa and “GGpa”.
We love you. Isidoro’s family will host a visitation on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Rd, Ajax, ON. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023 at 10:30am at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 1001 Ravenscroft Rd #4, Ajax, ON. Reception to follow. The witnessing of the cremation and interment to be held on December 16 and 21 respectively will be privately attended by Isidoro’s family.
