JACKSON, Irene Marguerite Jackson - 27-Nov-1940 - 17-Sep-2024

Irene Marguerite Jackson nee Robinson passed on September 17, 2024 at Lakeridge Health Ajax in her 84th year with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband and love of her life Ralph Jackson. Survived by her daughter Michelle nee Gledhill, her stepdaughter Lori and her Grandchildren Joshua, Jenna and Jake Halleran. Beloved sister of Jacqueline Hosey nee Robinson, late brother Ralph Robinson (Lynn) and Marilyn Whelpley nee Robinson. Adored by niece Kim and remembered with fondness by many nieces and nephews.

Irene had a successful career in the optical industry for many years. She loved her job and made lifelong friends, many of whom remained very supportive and in close contact during the last years of her life. Irene was energetic and outgoing, immensely enjoyed travelling, meeting new people, trying new experiences and was an avid reader. She cared deeply for anyone she considered family or friend.

At Irene’s request a private family service is planned. Donations in Irene’s memory can be made to Parkinson’s Foundation and SickKids Foundation.

Life Goes On
If I should go before the rest of you, break not a flower nor inscribe a stone, nor when I am gone speak in a Sunday voice but be the usual selves that I have known. Weep if you must, parting is hell, but life goes on, so sing as well.

A Celebration of life will be held at Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery
