Schotsman JohannesSCHOTSMAN, Johannes ‘John’ Diederikus - December 1, 1927 Groningen, The Netherlands August 30, 2017 Grimsby, Ontario

With his beloved wife of 64 years Rita and granddaughter Jolene by his side, God called home to glory His beloved son John D. Schotsman. 

He is survived by his son John (Pauline) and their children Melanie, Alisha, Paulina, Jolene, Katie, Monique and their spouses; Grace (Michael) and their son Ben Obal; Sonja (Sal) and their children J’Neene and Sheleen Messina.  Dear Great-grandfather of 15 great-grandchildren.  Dear brother of †Simon (†Christine), †Ralph (†Shirley), Ann (Henk) DeGroot.  Also remembered by many in-laws, nieces and nephews in both Canada and Holland. 

Visitation will be held at MT. HAMILTON CRC, 1411 Upper Wellington St., Hamilton on Wednesday, September 6th from 6-9 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 7th at 11 a.m.  Reception will follow in the fellowship hall.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Stoney Creek. 

Many thanks to Shalom Manor’s nursing staff for their love and care the past 6 years. 

In lieu of flowers donations to Shalom Manor would be appreciated.
