STITT, Kathleen (Kay)   -  Age 96, passed away peacefully, on Monday, July 25, 2022, at North York General Hospital.

Kathleen was born May 16, 1926, in Milford, County Donegal, Eire (Ireland).

She came to Canada at age two and grew up in the Beaches in Toronto.

She made a wonderful life in Canada.

Kathleen was the eldest of six children and took that responsibility seriously.

Kay met Les on the dance floor at Palais Royal and they married on August 3, 1946, and were blessed with six girls and one boy: Linda (John), Gord, Louise (Vic), Elaine (Derek), Roberta, Sandra (Dave), Carolyn (Glenn); and her seven grandchildren: Miel (Kirk), Robert (Krista), Jeffrey (Michelle), Beau (Ken), Shannah (Markus), Nicholas (Megan), Jackson; and great-grandchildren: Cole, Gaia, Lyran, Massimo and Ray. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mona, John and Myra; and leaves behind Joyce and Bill. Mum took an active role in each one of her children's lives.

She shared her love by sewing, knitting, and typing many of her kids' essays.

She never missed a parent/teacher interview nor a sporting event or club activity for her children and grandchildren.

Mum was a caregiver to all! The family would like to thank all the staff at NYGH for their loving care.
