MATTHEWS,  A. Edward (Ted) Matthews  -   made his last train trip departing the station from platform 2, on August 1, 2024, enroute to the big N gauge layout in the sky.

Born on July 5, 1929 was perfect timing, as he would be too young to enlist in WW11, giving way better odds of getting those 95 trips around the sun under his belt.

Dad was predeceased by his loving wife of 47 years, Jacqueline Matthews; and his adored partner of 20 years, Shirley Hodgson; his parents, Ted and Rose Matthews; his sisters, Betty Webber and Evelyn Lascelles; his brother, Tom; and his granddaughter, Krystle.

Dad is survived by us, his children, Mike (Connie), Michele (Jack), Denise (Russ) and Rod (Shandra). He will be missed terribly by his nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

After he worked with his Dad at Whites Fish Market, he ventured into the frozen food business, working for Associated Freezers. He worked in Dartmouth, Moncton and Vancouver; finally returning to Toronto in 1997. We want to thank the amazing staff at Amica for their wonderful and loving care of our Dad these past few years.

Also to the awesome team of nurses and doctors who took great care of him in his final days.

There will be a celebration of our Dad's life on Saturday, August 31st, from 12-3 p.m., at the Brampton Golf Course.

As Dad would love to say "Here's looking up your address!"
