deceased-imgMILLER, Yvonne Myrtle Miller - 26-Jul-1931 - 4-Sep-2024

Yvonne Myrtle Miller, 93, of Pickering, Ontario, passed away peacefully on September 4th, 2024. Yvonne was born on July 26th, 1931, to Stanley and Myrtle White of Toronto, Ontario.

After completing high school, Yvonne completed post secondary education earning a degree at the University of Toronto. A life-long learner, Yvonne then pursued a lengthy career sharing her knowledge, educating the young minds at Ajax-Pickering High school.

In 1948, Yvonne met the love of her life, Lorne Miller, together, they married, welcoming three children, 7 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren over the course of their 73 years of marriage.

In her retirement, Yvonne was an active member of the church, participated with the Red Hat ladies, as well as enjoyed spending time with her family, travelling, quilting, cross-wording, and collecting books.

Yvonne will be remembered by friends and family for all of the love and guidance she provided, in addition to her quick wit, sense of humour, and appreciation of all things mystery.

Yvonne was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Myrtle White, her Son, Stephen Miller, and her grandson, Jeffery Ingram. She is survived by her husband, Lorne, her children, Cameron and Lynne (Dale), her grandchildren, Amy (Troy), David, Christine (Amanda), Catherine (Mario), Jeremy (Heather), and Jennifer (Carson), as well as 7 great-grandchildren.

Cremation to take place, and a celebration of life will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Dunbarton-Fairport United Church, an organization Yvonne felt very strongly about.

We encourage you to share a message or memory you may have of Yvonne, and join her family to commemorate her 93 years.

Forever in our hearts. Visit at McEachnie Funeral Home
