Jo-Ann Myles (Nee Johnson)
November 7, 1946 - October 11, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of the backbone of our family, Jo-Ann Myles. On Friday, October 11th, 2024, Jo-Ann left us to reunite with her beloved Billy in Heaven after a short illness. Born as the first of five daughters to Connie & Joe Johnson in London, Ontario, on November 7, 1946, Jo-Ann was a devoted wife to Bill since 1969. From high school sweethearts to lovingly supporting him through his lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, Jo-Ann embodied sacrifice, strength, and wisdom. She was a loving mother to Nicky and Kristen, a guiding light with endless advice, laughter, and love.

Jo-Ann was a proud grandmother to Finley, Nathan, Tea, and Declan, always offering a hug, a tease, and encouragement for them to chase their dreams. She welcomed Shaun and Sean into the family with open arms and appreciated their support. Jo-Ann shared a special and close bond with her sisters, Brenda, Debbie, and Betty. Her legacy touched many lives, from her nieces and nephews to dear friends spanning from her childhood to the Burlington community.

Jo-Ann was deeply involved in her community, volunteering at school and church and was a proud 50-year member of the Junior League of Hamilton Burlington, where she formed lifelong friendships. Though she is no longer with us, her memory will live on, inspiring and comforting all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will take place at Smith’s Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, from 4-7 p.m., with a Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel on Thursday, October 17, at 10 a.m. A live stream link will be available on the funeral home website. Memorial contributions to the Mission Thrift Store would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
