AMARAL, Lucy Amaral

Born on October 25th, 1964, passed away peacefully on March 17th, 2026, at the age of 61, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by love, she faced her journey with remarkable strength, grace, and resilience. Leaving behind a legacy of unwavering love and devotion that will be forever cherished by all who knew her.

Lucy is deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband, Antonio (of 38 years); her beloved son, Eric (Alexis); and her cherished grandchildren, Audrianna and Lucia, who brought her endless joy and pride. She will also be fondly remembered by her dear sister, Tina; her loving nieces (Melissa, Katelyn, Jessica), and the many friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

She was, in every sense, extraordinary—a woman whose boundless love and enduring spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of many, a legacy that will be felt, remembered, and cherished forever. Though our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing she has been called home into the arms of the Lord, where there is no pain, only eternal peace. Her love remains with us, a guiding light, and her memory will forever be a blessing.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the DWAYNE D. BUDGELL Funeral Home. A Private Family Service was held. Father Jerzy Tomon of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiated. In Lucy’s memory, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by her family.
