Norman Mackenzie peacefully passed away in his 89th year with family by his side. He was a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Well loved by friends in Nova Scotia, Toronto, Hamilton and overseas, he was known for his tremendous sense of humour, intellect, storytelling and integrity.

He was always the gentleman in a true traditional sense. His life was rich with experiences, travel and history. Norman was a highly intelligent person, but he didn’t let that overshadow his humility. His circle of friends included professionals from all walks of life, and he knew that true friendship transcended education, wealth or position.
He will be deeply missed by everyone.
In keeping with Norman’s character, he had requested no formal ceremony after his passing. If desired, a memorial contribution can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
