RACICOT, Daniel David Racicot

Daniel David Racicot was born on July 18, 1948 in South Porcupine, Ontario.  He passed suddenly at home on March 11, 2026.  Raised in Timmins, Ontario he later moved to Ottawa. Upon retiring from Industry Canada, he lived in Brockville, Kanata and later Almonte, Ontario. Beloved husband of Roberte (Piché) Racicot. Together, they enjoyed winters in Naples, Florida with friends and family. Loving father to Jeremy Racicot (Kerry), Sarah MacIsaac (Brian) and stepfather to Ken Potts (Tarah).  Predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Laurence (Aubertin) Racicot and brother Roger (and the late Diane).  Beloved brother of Jacqueline Lavergne (George), Laurier (Carol), and Guy (Gaston). Immensely proud of his grandchildren Ella, Noah, Aiden, Quinn, and Sloane Racicot; Nicholas, Camryn, and Keilan MacIsaac; and Olivia Potts. Cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy in the Chapel of Barclay Funeral Home, 137 Pearl Street East, Brockville, Ontario, on Monday March 23, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A reception will follow.  Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery, Ottawa, Ontario will take place at a later date. As long-standing contributors to UNICEF Canada, a donation in Daniel’s memory would be preferred in lieu of flowers. Messages of condolence may be shared at www.barclayfuneralhome.com
