Ruth Peckham

December 12, 1941 – March 8, 2025

Ruth Peckham passed away peacefully in hospital in Bowmanville, Ontario, on March 8, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born in St. John’s, Newfoundland, in 1941, Ruth grew up in Corner Brook before raising her family in St. John’s. She was a passionate traveler who especially loved visiting Italy and the Italian Riviera.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents, Harold and Gwendolyn Squires; her beloved husband, Roy Peckham; and her late brothers-in-law, Gordon (Rose) and Albert (Barbara). She was a loving mother to Andrew (Tanya) and Danny (Keara) and a dear grandmother to Taiya, Chloe, and Foster. She will be fondly remembered by her sister Jean (the late Roland); sister-in-law Rosalie (the late Ed); and brothers Bob (Mary), Dave (Laura), and Ted (the late Heather).

Cremation has taken place. A burial will be held in St. John’s, Newfoundland, at a later date, where Ruth will be laid to rest beside her husband, Roy.
