TURNBULL, Shirley Jeannette - Peacefully, at Brierwood Gardens, Brantford, on Monday, June 10, 2024, Shirley Jeannette Turnbull, at age 95, formerly of Runnymede Road, Toronto.
Shirley was a member of the Toronto Hiking Club, and the Symes 55+ Club and was an active participant until age 90.
She enjoyed her walks in Bloor West Village and visiting merchants, talking to friends and neighbours along the routes.
She fundraised for many charities, and in her retirement years, she visited friends and neighbours in the hospital and nursing homes.
Shirley was kind, generous, and soft-spoken, but feisty and independent as well. Friends and family will be received at Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., followed by Funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. (noon) at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 9 Waverley Street, Brantford
