Arbor Memorial Mount Lawn Funeral Home & Cemetery
deceased-imgWALKER, Brian Thomas Walker - 28-Nov-1938 - 12-Sep-2024

Brian Walker, 85, of Ajax, Ontario, passed away on September 12, 2024, peacefully with his family by his side.

Brian was born on November 28, 1938, to James and Mary Walker in Salford, England. He married Brenda Dolan in 1961 and they had a happy marriage for 61 years until Brenda passed away in July, 2023. They emigrated to Canada with their two young daughters, Elaine and Alison, in 1975.

Brian was active in the community and was a long-time member of the Lion’s Club in Ajax where he led many fundraising activities and community events. Brian was a master electrician, who worked at Go Transit overseeing many projects which continue to benefit the public to this day. Brian was successful in all his endeavors, but family always came first for him. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He took the opportunity to retire early and spent much of that time with his five grandchildren, and he continued to be an influential figure in their lives until his death.

Brian is survived and deeply missed by his brother James Walker, his two daughters Elaine Schembri (Mark), Alison Stinson (David), his grandchildren, Elise Swann (Graham), Patrick Schembri, Jennifer Stinson, Connor Stinson and Aidan Clare Stinson, and his great grandson, Max Brian Edward Swann.
Brian’s life will be celebrated in a private service with his immediate family.
