1930 - 2023
Bill died peacefully, on October 11, 2023, his 93rd and 1/2 birthday, surrounded by family.
A Major in the British Army, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and eternal optimist has left us.
Born on April 11, 1930, in Tilehurst, Berkshire, England, Bill joined the army and travelled the world before immigrating to Canada with wife, Minette (the love of his life) and his young family in 1969.
While in Canada, his favourite job was the decade he spent at the Toronto Zoo.
Bill will be remembered as a connector and family historian, holding family and friends together with his humour and wit.
He is survived by his son and daughter, Richard and Honor, and their families. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held on December 17th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at The Granite Brewery in Toronto, 245 Eglinton Ave. E., Toronto, ON M4P 3B7.
