Elaine Sauve Augustine
May 6, 1937 – October 14, 2024
Our Heavenly Father took Elaine home to be with Him in glory last Thanksgiving Monday, October 14, 2024. Elaine passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents Hector J. Sauve and Leonie Carriere, her husbands Louis Augustine, Reginald A. Mountford, and John G. Pickles, as well as her sisters Yvette (Doue), Rita (Herbert), Marcelle, Janine (Pierre), and her brothers Raymond and Guy (Louise).
Elaine leaves behind her children, Brian Pickles (Naomi Kroeker) and Rachelle Pickles (Marcel Simard), along with her grandchildren, Matisse (Theo Holskil) and Celine (Adam Khan).
Born in Alexandria, Ontario, Elaine moved to Montreal in 1952, where she worked for Bell Canada, Poulenc Inc, RCA Victor, and Canadian Pulp and Paper Association. After moving to Milton, Ontario in 1979, she continued her education at Sheridan College, earning a scholarship to the Universite de Quebec in Trois Rivieres. Elaine retired in 1987 from Abitibi-Price Inc. After moving to Burlington, she found her Lord Jesus and became an active volunteer with her church.
A Celebration of Elaine’s Life will take place at Chartwell Retirement Residence, 1 Henry Court, Leamington, on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Doctors Without Borders would be appreciated.
