ILLERBRUNN, Barbara Illerbrunn

She passed away peacefully at Brucelea Haven on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the age of 88. Beloved wife of Francis Illerbrunn for 59 wonderful years. Loving mother of Dan Illerbrunn and his children Cheyenne (KV), and great-grandson Naveed, Nathaniel (Lauren), and Beth (James); Rob Illerbrunn and his wife Deb and their children Emma (Mark), Mitchell (Samantha), and Jared (Brittany); and Laura Ferguson (Illerbrunn) and her husband Peter and their children Kholby (Emily), Dakoda (Sophie), John (Natasha), and Christopher.

Barbara Illerbrunn was predeceased by her parents, Leroy and Laura Anstett (née Schmidt); her brother Bill Anstett; and her sister Veronica Schlosser. Born and raised in Michigan, Barbara moved to Canada after marrying Francis, where together they built a loving home and family. Barbara will be remembered for her warm heart, kind nature, and bubbly personality, as well as the love and devotion she showed to her family throughout her life.

Barbara will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Friends and relatives are invited to memorial visitation from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Cameron’s in Walkerton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Sacred Heart Church, Mildmay. Fr. Leszek Szczygiel presiding. Reception to follow in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
