IVANOV, Boris -

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Boris Ivanov on February 14, 2024, at the age of 93.
Boris was a loving husband to his wife of 64 years, Sylvia; beloved father to Jordan (Christine) and Evan (Tina); and dear Dedo to J.D., Ashley (Brodie), Eric, Andrew, Alexis and Alena.
Born in Bulgaria, Boris fled communism at the age of 18 and went on to build a successful life in Canada.
Boris graduated from the University of Toronto as a civil engineer - Skule 5T8, and founded his own consulting firm, Urban Engineering.
He served as the president of the Bulgarian-Canadian Society for many years. Boris was fiercely dedicated to his family and will be deeply missed by all.
A service to honour Boris will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at the Mount Pleasant Funeral Centre. Visitation will take place from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. in the Gathering Hall. Service and interment will follow immediately afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes or Heart and Stroke Foundations.
