1935 – 2024
Keith passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the Palliative Care Centre, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto on Wednesday, July 3, at the age of 89.
Born and raised in Toronto, Keith was the son of Archibald and Olive Donald.
He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 56 years,
Muriel Jean (nee Mitchell); and his children, Greg, Tim (Erin) and Melanie (Chris); and his grandchildren, Paige, Claire, Silo and Keiran.
He is survived by his dear sister, Bev Stares; and her sons, Jamie and Adam. Keith graduated from University of Toronto Victoria College and became a dedicated high school teacher with the TDSB for 40 years. He taught at Parkdale CI, Bickford Park and The Clarke Institute.
He and his wife also did a year of exchange teaching in England. He loved spending summers with family and friends at the cottage, winters in Mexico and was an honorary member of The Boulevard Club.
He was a man of many interests; he especially loved reading, sports, CBC Radio, swimming and art. His sense of humour comforted his family in his final days.
A private ceremony will take place at Park Lawn Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.
