Ronald B. Homuth
March 8, 1945 - December 27, 2024
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ronald B. Homuth on December 27, 2024. Adoring husband of 52 years to Maureen, affectionately known as Bo. Proud father of Jennifer and David (Sarah), and adoring grandfather of Logan, Cole, and Mackenzie.
Ron was born in Stratford and raised in Goderich, along with his late sister Shirley. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and unwavering loyalty to the Toronto Blue Jays. He shared a friendly competition with Jennifer over visiting Major League Baseball parks, making it to 31 parks, many of them with Jennifer after retirement. He was also a dedicated coach for David’s baseball and hockey teams, and he lovingly maintained a backyard ice rink during the winters.
Ron was a proud 40-year employee of Ford Motor Co., and his enthusiasm for Ford vehicles was unmatched. In retirement, he enjoyed winters golfing in Florida, running an investment club, and cruising to various ports of the world. His kindness, warmth, and love for family and friends will be deeply missed by all.
Internment has taken place. A farewell to honor Ron will be held at Turner & Porter Neweduk-Erin Mills Chapel, 1981 Dundas St. W, Mississauga, on Sunday, January 5, 2025, between 1-4 p.m. For those who wish to do so, a donation in his name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Parkinson’s Canada.
Memories and notes of condolence may be shared at Turner & Porter Funeral Directors.
