SATOSEK, Janko 'John' - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, August 28, 2017 in his 81st year.
Beloved husband of Zorka for 60 wonderful years. Cherished father of Nicholas and his wife Mary, and John and his wife Diane. Proud and loving grandfather of Justin, Gerrit, Jessica, Jasmine, Thomas, and Matthew.
Brother of Ane and her husband the late Ivan Škrtić, and the late Vilko and his wife Venka Satošek. He will also be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Croatia, Austria, the U.S.A and Canada.
He was a long-time member of Holy Cross Croatian Church, member of Monsignor Šprajc Council 12922 of the Knights of Columbus and Vice-President of the Croatian Fraternal Union, Lodge 644 "Matija Gubec".
The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at the Hamilton General Hospital.
Visitation at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Prayers at 7:15 p.m. Funeral Mass will celebrated at Holy Cross Croatian Catholic Church, 1883 King Street East on Thursday, August 31, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow.
If desired, in lieu of flowers donations to Holy Cross Croatian Church or the Janko Satošek Memorial Scholarship Fund would be appreciated.
