Predeceased by his first wife, Ruth (1984); and second wife, Nancy (2022).

Cherished father of Janet (Jim), John (Jennifer) and James (Bruce).

Beloved stepfather of Carrie (Kevin) and Jeffrey (Rhonda). Greatly missed by his grandchildren, Anne-Marie, Amanda, Joseph, Faith, Grace, Spencer, Nancy, Grant, Jesse and Joshua.

Donald was a respected anesthesiologist and professor of anesthesia for 35 years at the Michael Garron Hospital (Toronto East General).

He was a longtime member of Kew Beach United Church where he taught Sunday School for many years. Upon retirement, he joined the Wyevale United Church where he was also invited to conduct readings.

Don enjoyed reading in his study overlooking Georgian Bay, especially philosophy, and listening to classical music. He was a car enthusiast and an NFL football fanatic that rarely missed a televised game.

As we celebrate Don's life, we will remember his quick wit, his intelligence and thoughtfulness.

Special thanks to the caregivers at the Villa in Midland and the staff at Georgian Bay General Hospital.
