C’est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de Jeannine Bériault (née Joannis), d’Ottawa, Ontario, survenu le mardi 4 mars 2025, à l’âge de 78 ans.

Elle était l'épouse de feu René Bériault et la fille de feu Léo Joannis et de feu Georgette Paris. Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Sylvie (Peter Young), Natalie (Louis Pérusse) et Jacques (Carole), ainsi que ses petits-enfants : Érica, Sonia, Roch, Nicholas, Sara, Patrick et Matthieu. Elle laisse également ses arrière-petits-enfants : Calie, Xavier, Sophie, William, Charlotte et Zoé.

Elle laisse aussi ses frères et sœurs : Denise (feu Esmond)(Jean-Paul Gauthier), Claire (Johnny Éthier), Aline (Brian Brigham) et Alice (feu Joe Cayer), ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces et ami(e)s.

Elle fut précédée dans la mort par ses frères et sœurs : Thérèse (feu Ernie Sparrow), Georges (feu Pauline), Jacques, Madeleine (Benoît Galipeau), Marcel et Léo.

La famille souhaite remercier le Dr. Biscay et le personnel de la Maison de L’Est pour leur compassion et les bons soins prodigués à Jeannine.

January 12, 1940 - March 3, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margo Virginia Levac
on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Heartwood Long Term Care, at the age of 85.

She will be lovingly remembered by her friends Katherine Secord, Carmine Montpetit,
Stephane Rose, Jason Secord (Mark Maiolo), and her Karaoke friends at the Army Navy Hall.

She was predeceased by her husband Conrad Levac and her parents Perley and Alys Boyd.

Special thanks are extended to the staff of Heartwood for their care and compassion
shown to Margo over the last three years.

Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall
on Wednesday, March 12, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Margo’s ashes will be buried with her father at Woodlawn Cemetery in the spring.

on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the Cornwall Community Hospital, at the age of 91 years.

Beloved wife of the late Teodoro Barlaan.
Loving mother of Ludivina Cuadra (Jose), Armeda Sisom (late Romeo), Israel Barlaan (Lucila),
Ricardo Barlaan (Arlene), Pompeyo Barlaan (Susan), and Ma. Elena Santiago (Eduardo).
She is predeceased by her children Donato Barlaan and Eden Mallare.

Cherished grandmother of Sydney, Jerome P, Jason, Jordan, Jean Michael, Paul Miki,
Mikael Nikolai, Michael Angelo, Mark Jude, Joyce, Justin, Mark June, Marvin John,
Charlene, Rose, Ricky, Arvee, Kaymarie, Pompey, Edel, Edsmarie, Edmond, Ma. Christina,

William Gabriel Wheeler

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of William Gabriel Wheeler,
surrounded by his loving family, at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at the age of 85.

Beloved husband of Mildred Wheeler (nee McPhail) for 60 years.
Dear father of Jeffrey Wheeler (Heather) of Martintown, Tammy Wheeler of Cornwall,
and Shannon Laplante (Ian) of Williamstown.
Cherished grandfather of Ramsey (Melanie) Wheeler, Robyn Wheeler, Grace Laplante, and Olivia Laplante,
and great-grandfather of Sutton Wheeler.
He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by his parents William and Justena Wheeler (nee McDonald)
and by brothers Leonard (late Rosemary), Donald (Mary Frances Wheeler of Burke, New York),
Lorne (Inez Wheeler of Long Sault), and Vincent (Helene Wheeler of Cornwall).

The family would like to thank all of the staff, RNs, RPNs, and PSWs of the 6th floor at
Cornwall Community Hospital for their tremendous care and support during William’s time in the hospital.

William's passion was his farm. He was employed with Domtar for 40 years.

William will be resting at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall,
on Monday, March 10, from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.,
and on Tuesday, March 11, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Church at 11:00 a.m.
Spring interment will be held in the church cemetery.

Arthur Phillip "Art" Glenn

January 25, 1949 - March 4, 2025

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Tuesday, March 4, 2025,
at the age of 76, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Beloved husband of 21 years to Susan Glenn (nee Arthur).
Step-Dad to Sara Servage (Brandon) and Christopher Servage.
Cherished Pappy to Lydia Lowi.

Dear son of the late William and Bertha Glenn (St. John).
Cherished brother of Deanna Trottier (late Lynn) and Don Glenn (Karen).

Art had a love for life, could light up any room, and was always quick with a joke.
He loved racquet sports, skiing, hockey, and golfing.
He had a passion for motorcycling and was an avid history buff.
Art was a character like no other and left an impression on everyone he met.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

As per Art’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A celebration of his life will be held at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall,
on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Arvilla Brisco

February 7, 1941 - February 28, 2025

Born in Renfrew, Ontario, on February 7, 1941, to the late William Thompson and Rebecca (Gagie) Thompson (nee MacDonald),
Arvilla went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 28, 2025, after battling many years with dementia.

Arvilla lived in Stoney Creek, Ontario, from 1985 to 2022, where she was a devoted wife, mother, and follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Wife of the late Gordon Russell Brisco, she was born and raised in the Valley.

Beloved mother of Andrew Brisco, Gregory Brisco, and Tim Smith.
Grandmother to Kalynn Brisco and Grayson Brisco, and great-grandmother to Weston Kaufman.
She is survived by her brother Eldon (Ruth) Thompson, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arvilla is predeceased by her sisters Marie Hoad (nee Thompson) and Geraldine Wall (nee Thompson),
and by her brothers C.J. Thompson and Albert Thompson.

Arvilla lived a life dedicated to serving her Savior and her community. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She was known for her fun, mischievous nature and ever-present sense of humor.
Her life was filled with travel in her early years, hosting family gatherings, and making long-lasting friendships
through her marketing career, church family, and years as a caretaker.
She leaves behind a legacy of service and kindness.

The family wishes to thank the members of Groves Park Lodge and the many friends and family who supported Arvilla and her family in recent years.

Friends and family are welcome to gather at Zohr Family Funeral Home, Renfrew,
where visitation will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and again on Saturday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at Calvary Pentecostal Church at 11:00 a.m.
Spring interment will be announced later at Rosebank Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The Samaritan’s Purse – Canada in memory of Arvilla would be greatly appreciated.
