GOUGH, Richard - Peacefully, surrounded by loving family, on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Bluewater Health, Richard Gough passed away at the age of 71.
Beloved husband of Helen de Gourville.
Loving father of Allison (Paul) Gough and Daniel (Charlene) Gough.
Cherished grandfather of Lilyan Gough, Oakley Gough, Vanessa Smith, and Michael Smith.
Dear brother of Mary Murphy (John), Mike Gough (Doreen), Kathy Gough (Tim), Eileen Noiseux (Derek).
Will be remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Grace Gough. Richard was a man of many passions and enjoyed reading different books, watching movies, fact gathering, was a cook extraordinaire, painter, and renovator.
He was a dedicated volunteer working with the homeless at Benedict Labre House in Montreal, where he met his wife.
Richard was also a volunteer at Ray of Hope in Kitchener and was a teacher for Dufferin Peel Roman Catholic School Board for many years.
He will be missed by those who were a part of his life. Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at St. John-in-the-Wilderness Church, 2896 Old Lakeshore Rd., Brights Grove, on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
