SASAKI, Grace Kazuye Sasaki (nee Kuwahara) - of Erin, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the age of 98 years.
Grace was born in Calgary to Sataro and Setsuo Kuwahara on November 11, 1925. She attended school in Calgary and Toronto.
She married Mitsuru Sasaki on September 19, 1953 in Toronto, and worked as an accounts receivable officer for Baumgold Brothers of Canada for many years.
Grace was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Mitsuru Sasaki; and her brothers, Hiroshi, Tom, Mitsuo, Ken, and Richard Kuwahara.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Diane (Dr. Patrick) Martin of Kingston, Dr. Sharon (Dr. David Sherrington) Sasaki of Erin, and Lauren (Mark Underwood) Sasaki of Toronto; and her son, James Sasaki of Mississauga.
She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Gregory (Lindsay) Martin, Daniel (Emily) Sherrington, Andrew (Allison) Martin, Christine Sherrington, Neil (Melody) Martin, and Grace, Peter, and Logan Underwood; as well as her great-grandchildren, Archer, Myles, Etta, Nina, Maddox, Quinton, and Rowan.
A Funeral Service will be held for immediate family with a burial to follow
