John Emmanuel Tanti

August 15, 1930 - March 8, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Emmanuel Tanti on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, in his 95th year.

John was predeceased by his beloved wife, Catherine Tanti. He was a devoted father to Frances Ivy (Jack), Stephen (Joanne), and Philip (Shelly). He was a cherished grandfather to Michael (Kirsten), Brian (Nadia), Catherine (Alex), Elizabeth (Brendon), and Leslie. Predeceased by his sisters Bernice and Alma, John will also be fondly remembered by the community at Bowmanville Creek Retirement and his "wine-o-clock" friends.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff at Bowmanville Memorial Hospital for their kindness and support.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Mount Lawn Funeral Home, located at 21 Garrard Rd., Whitby. A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 12:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 PM. After the service, the family invites friends and guests to join them in the Arbor Lounge for refreshments and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in John's memory.
