Bobel MarilynBOBEL, Marilyn Margaret (nee MILLER)   -  Passed on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

Marilyn, beloved wife of the late Nicholas "Nick" Bobel and the late Irving Milley.

Loving mother of Corina-Lyn, Raeann (Glenn) and the late Steven.

Marilyn will be fondly remembered by her relatives, extended family and friends.

Marilyn had retired from Magna International where she was proud of her work in logistics when just-in-time shipping was being introduced.

Marilyn was a decorated volunteer for her work in York Region at Newmarket Seniors Meeting Place.

She was an avid Blue Jays fan and loved to travel.

CAMPBELL, James Edward   -  March 14, 1947 - April 24, 2022

James passed away suddenly in his 76th year following a brief but heroic battle with cancer.

He was a dedicated federal civil servant for 38 years, and received the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal for his tireless dedication to public service.

Komaniecki JustynaKOMANIECKI, Justyna   -   On Sunday, April 24, 2022, Orthodox Easter, Justyna (Krystina) Komaniecki, left us to be with the Lord, at the age of 92.

Beloved wife of the late Teodor. 

An amazing mother to her two daughters Marie Komanecki (Deric Humble) and Anne Komanecki (Roman Chabursky).

She will be missed by her many nieces in Europe and fondly remembered by her friends and neighbours.

She is missed by her faithful companion, Scotch, the cat.

Krystina was a retired Bell Canada employee. 

STANLEY, Barbara   -  With great sadness, Barbara Stanley passed away on April 24, 2022, at the age of 83.

Beloved wife of the late Ross, loving mother of Ralda (son-in-law Mark) and the late Keith.

Barbara will be missed by grandchildren Kayla (Brad), Carly (Mike), Connor, Duncan, and Meghan, two great-grandchildren Brielle, Nicholas, and many dear friends.

KOMORI, Teruyo (Terrie)    -  It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terrie Komori (nee Sugiura), on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at the age of 100.

Terrie was predeceased by her husband Ken and is survived by her daughter Michi and sons Mark and Lloyd.

Tucker JohnTUCKER, John Herbert  -  Passed away peacefully, April 23, 2022.

Born September 4, 1929, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to Harold and Agnes Tucker, and graduated in mechanical engineering from the University of Manitoba.

His career was with Canadian General Electric and Ontario Hydro.

Predeceased by his parents; sisters, Eleanor Spafford and Laureen Bulman; and his beloved son, Captain Hollis R. Tucker RCAF, he is survived by his wife, Shirley (Rutherford); children, Carol, John and Susan (John Dekker).

Pappa to Ryan, Kelsey, Jenna, Marina, Taya, Halli, Sarah, Jeffrey, Khiana and GGC Marlee and Kaden.

In his spare time, he loved woodworking, making many beautiful pieces of furniture, time with his family, playing squash, tennis and his favourite: golf with his many cherished golf buddies.

Yau Dr TonyYAU, Dr. Tony Pak Choong   -  August 27, 1939 - April 23, 2022

It is with sadness, that we announce the sudden passing of Dr. Tony Pak Choong Yau on April 23, 2022, at the age of 82.

A graduate of the University of Manchester Medical School (U.K.) of the class of 1964, he immigrated to Canada and established his practice shortly thereafter in the St. Clair Avenue West and Dufferin neighbourhood.

There he dedicated the next fifty years of his life to proudly serving the community as "Dottore Yau" while perfecting his Italian.

Dr. Yau will be greatly missed by his wife Irene; his children Daphne, Andrew and Fiona; his siblings Poh Yoke (the late Joe Amin), Poh Keng, Poh Lin (Tom Grimes), Pak Seng (Evelyn Foo) and Pak Cheng (Gladys Yau); as well as all his other brothers, sisters and extended family in Malaysia and Canada.

LAFFEY, Mary (May) (nee GAFFNEY)   -  With grateful hearts for a life well loved and well lived, the children of Mary announce her death on April 23, 2022.

Born in 1925, at home in County West Meath, Ireland, the only girl in her family of six brothers.

She immigrated to the United States, following our dad there, to start a new life.

O'REILLY, Owen Eugene  - Surrounded by his adoring daughters, in the city of Pickering, on Saturday, April 23, 2022.

Devoted husband to his late wife, Diane; cherished Dad to his girls, Kelley, Kim, Kara and Kathleen and loving Papa to his grandchildren, Kristen, Emily, Lily, Owen, Leo, Maeve, Claire and John.

Owen was the beloved son of his late mother, Anna Doyle of Tottenham and his late father, John O'Reilly of Wildfield, Ontario.

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Marjory on April 23, 2022, at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Marjory was predeceased by her husband, Vernon Kyle.

She is survived by her brother, William Smallman and sister, Joan Cross and her nieces and nephews, Anne Gallagher (Tim), Catherine Grant (John), William Cross (Anne), Robert Cross (Clara), Patricia Joan Cross, Tom Cross (Beverley), Craig Kyle (Rose) and her nine grandnieces and nephews as well as a great-grandniece and grandnephew.

Marjory attended Havergal College and went on to study at Victoria College, University of Toronto, graduating with a Liberal Arts Degree in 1943.

Anne was happily married to Albert for 59 years.

She was a tremendous cook, wonderful wife, mother, grandmother.

TSERTOS, Sophia   - This April 21st, Sophia Tsertos (nee Andritsakos) took her final breath, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was honest, kind, gentle, and was passionate about family, her faith and her garden.

Born July 7, 1931, Keith leaves behind his beloved wife of 64 years, Vera (nee Johnson), and children Patricia (Edgar), Christine (Andrew), Keitha, Raymond (Lisa).

Keith was loved and adored by his grandchildren Taylor, Danny, Phieffer, Keith Coburn, Nolan, Timothy, Lewis, Russell, J and great-grandchild Ezra.

He was predeceased by brothers Manuel, Roy, Everard (aka Goody), Gladstone (aka Frenny) and sister Rose.

He is survived by sisters Myrtle and Gloria.

Keith is uncle and great-uncle to many.

Gray NormanGRAY, Norman E.   -  Peacefully, on Wednesday April 20, 2022 at the Trillium Health Partners, Mississauga, in his 97th year.

Beloved husband of the late Barbara. Dear and loving father of Kate-Lynn, Dianne (Colin) and David. Jovial grandfather of Matthew and his step-granddaughters Filomena and Sabrina.

He will be missed by his sister-in-law Madeleine and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Norman, or Norm as he was most often known, was a proud Canadian who served his country with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II.

Later, he met and married Barbara, and family life became of great importance to him.

Hayler DorothyHAYLER, Dorothy May (nee McAvoy) Hayler   -  Born October 7, 1924, died peacefully April 20, 2022. 

Beloved wife of the late Charles Hayler and loving mother of Vickie (Paul), Joanne (Ed) and Jill (Trevor).

Loving grandmother to Michael, Jessica, Victor, Jennifer and John and great-grandmother to Charlie and Isla. 

Dorothy was born and raised in Islington and lived in Etobicoke her entire life where her children also live.

Dorothy enjoyed spending time at the family cottage with her husband Chuck.

Mom also enjoyed landscape painting and was an avid gardener.

Norma Lubja at the age of 82, dearly beloved wife for 57 years to the late Kuno Lubja (January 5, 2022).

HOFMANN, Herbert Ernest   -  Passed away in Toronto on April 20, 2022.

Born in Ansbach, Germany on January 21, 1934. Predeceased by his wife, Emily Lina Hofmann.

Survived by his spouse, Kathleen Jackson.

Loving father, grandfather, husband and brother, Sal passed away after a year-long battle with cancer.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Dona.

Sal leaves behind many who loved him, including sons Cleve (Catherine) and Paul (Christine) and daughter Kim.

Sal will be dearly missed by grandsons Cole, Cody, and Justin, as well as his sisters Agata, Lina and Victoria and brother Rocco.

Sal was predeceased by his brother Ken.

Sal also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
