HUGHES, Janice Ann - November 11, 1954 - March 7, 2021
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Janice Ann Hughes (née Dines), on March 7, 2021, at the age of 66.
She was the beloved wife of Peter, mother of Melissa and Michael, sister of Jim (Helene), and aunt to Barbie and Shona.
She is predeceased by her parents, Archie and Florence.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, including her lifelong friend Linnea Cound (Frank), as well as her many friends, extended family, and her colleagues at RE/MAX Chay in Innisfil. Janice was born in Sudbury, Ontario and lived her childhood in the nearby railway town of Capreol.
She maintained her small-town warmth and the mentality of helping others in need throughout her life - acts that were deeply appreciated by those who knew her.

KOSEVIC, Vida - June 21, 1926 - March 7, 2021
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Vida Kosevic, in her 94th year.
She will be dearly missed by her husband and partner of 62 years, Vasa; daughters Olga (Jovan), Nada (Nikola) and Mira; grandchildren Nikola, Milan (Maja), Katarina (Dan), George (Jessica) and Kristina; great-grandsons Marko, Noah and Mihajlo; and sister Dragica, (Trieste, Italy).
Vida was smart, witty, creative, industrious and resourceful. Above all, she was courageous and a survivor.
She was born to Vojn and Hristina Cotric, the fourth of six children in Loznica, Yugoslavia.

Bill, in his 86th year, beloved companion of Judith Schnurr for 29 years and husband of the late Marie Nixon.

KURODA, Lily Toshimi (nee NAKANO) - September 19, 1932 – March 7, 2021
Passed away peacefully at her home in Scarborough, ON, on March 7, 2021.
Beloved wife to Mits for 64 years, loving mother to Dana (Cliff), most adored Nana to Cameron and Garrett, cherished sister to Leatrice, dearest aunt to Kevin (Yoko), Karen (Cary), Jaimie (Joel), and Adam (Emiline) and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, Takeo and Yukie Nakano; parents-in-law, Genjiro and Hatsumi Kuroda; sisters-in-law, Toshiko, Fumiko, Mary, Tomi, and Sue; and brothers-in-law, Kaz, Mas, Herb, and Joe.
Lily was born in Woodfibre, BC, and when World War II began, she was sent to an evacuation camp with her mother in Greenwood, BC, until they were reunited with her father in Toronto in 1943.

MacKENZIE, Charlotte (nee SINCLAIR) - May 10, 1924 - March 7, 2021
Charlotte passed away peacefully at Belmont House, on Sunday, March 7th, at the age of 96.
Charlotte was a devoted wife for over 50 years to her late husband, Duncan MacMillan MacKenzie (2005) and a cherished Mum to daughter, Lorraine and son-in-law Michael (Butler).
Charlotte was born in Glenmoriston in the Scottish Highlands and then immigrated to Canada with her husband, Duncan in 1954.
Charlotte had a long and rewarding career in the Nursing Field in both the U.K and Canada.
Charlotte was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Charlotte (Auntie Chatt) will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews in Scotland, Wales, England and South Africa as well as her friends and family in Canada.

ROBERTS, Elizabeth (nee HOPKINS) - October 17, 1928 - March 7, 2021
Passed away peacefully, at the Ross Memorial Hospital, in Lindsay, Ontario. Elizabeth, in her 93rd year, was the beloved wife of the late Trevor (2010).
Proud and loving mother of Richard (Jane), Barbara (David Balderston), and David (Cecily Ugray).
Cherished grandmother of Andrea, Evan (Amanda), Nick (Kate); Emily (Elie), George (Brynna); Lisa (Jess), Adam, Emily (Adam); and great-grandmother of Sophie, Nolan, Esme, and Quinn.
She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.

SLATER, Thomas Bruce Tom - Passed away peacefully in Mississauga on March 7, 2021, at the age of 72, after a battle with colon cancer.
Cherished son of Blanche (Adams) 101 years old, and the late Donald F.A. Slater.
He will be greatly missed by his brother Fred, his sister-in-law Anna Todorovich and his nephews Alexander, Evan, and Justin.
Tom studied biology and was an avid outdoorsman and photographer.
He loved to play tennis and table tennis.
In the past, he had been a botany photographer and a canoe trip leader.
Up to five weeks before his death, he was generously still caring for his mother Blanche Slater.

RUSAK, Michael Martin - Michael Martin Rusak, beloved husband/dad/dziadzi, died peacefully on Sunday morning, March 7, 2021, in Nanaimo, BC, in his 87th year.
He had been suffering from Lewy Body dementia for several years.
He is survived, and lovingly remembered, by his wife Stella (neé Czaja); his children Anysia (Mark), Monica (Clay), and Gregory (Brenda); his grandchildren Adam, Hannah, Isaiah, Melissa and Nathaniel; his brothers Stanley and Stephen and their families; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Helen, and his younger brother Henry.

SMITH, Donna Elizabeth - The family of Donna Elizabeth Smith would like to announce her passing, on March 7, 2021, at the age of 62 years.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter.
She was an Art History graduate of Guelph University, graduated from Liaison College in Culinary Arts, and worked for years in Social Service.
She was especially dedicated to cooking, gardening, taking photographs, and painting watercolors.
Travelling with her family and spending time at the cottage were some of her most cherished activities and memories.

TORDY, Apollonia - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Apollonia Tordy.
Apollonia (or Loni as she was known to those closest to her) died peacefully, on March 7, 2021, surrounded by loved ones.
She was the proud mother of Peter (Susan Treu) and devoted grandmother to Magda (Jack Swirsky), and Joseph.
Loni was predeceased by her husband Stefan.
Loni's memory will also be cherished by her many relatives and friends in Austria and Germany.

HORTON, Gordon Raymond "Ray" - April 20, 1951 – March 7, 2021
Slipped away peacefully on Sunday, March 7, 2021, after a stroke in December 2020.
Loving husband of Dianne Travell. Dear brother-in-law of Warren (Lynn Tipping), Chris, and Cath, and loving uncle to Ian and Luke. Beloved son of the late Gordon and Phyllis Horton of Willowdale.
Ray will be remembered and loved for his restless intelligence, his acerbic wit, and his kind and generous nature.
Following fun-filled undergraduate studies at Glendon College, Ray plunged into a lifelong commitment to public service with Consumer and Corporate Affairs Canada and later Industry Canada.

HOWITT, Michael Gregory Hildreth 'Greg' - (February 25, 1955 – March 6, 2021) - Greg passed away peacefully at home in his 66th year after a long battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents Glen and Shirley Howitt.

SMYTH, Richard 'Dick' Parsons - (April 6, 1934 - March 6, 2021) (Age 86) -
Richard Parsons Smyth, more widely known as Dick Smyth, very reluctantly succumbed to his recent battle with cancer.
The void of his booming presence will be keenly felt by his wife Marnie, his three daughters Lann, Tracey and Dawn, his sons-in-law Bob, Jim and Stan and his cherished grand-girls Hannah and Mira.
Dick was a pioneer of the early days of Rock-n-Roll Radio, developing the reporting/broadcast news at CKLW in Windsor.
Working as a news reporter across the border from the volatile condition of Detroit in the late sixties was an exciting, career-building time for Dick where he earned many accolades and awards for his energetic coverage of events such as the Detroit race riots.
