REDWOOD, Thomas Redwood

Passed away at Uxbridge Hospital on Thursday April 2, 2026 at the age of 91 years.  Loved and missed by his wife of 65 years; Pat (nee Crone) and his daughter Karen.  Also remembered by his brothers Phil (Yvonne) and Michael.  Predeceased by his daughter Stephanie (d. 1978).

Thomas lived on Fernwood Park and grew up in The Beach. He started paddling when he was young and you could always find him at the Balmy Beach Club.  Tom is an original Alumni Rugby player and was captain of his football team at Malvern Collegiate.  He loved to play golf, ski, play squash, and was an all around athlete. Tom was well respected and very successful in the printing industry selling direct mail for Haughton Graphics. All his clients who eventually became life long friends loved him as he had a special gift, he was a genuine, modest and humorous man. Tom retired early at 59 due to rheumatoid arthritis, slowed down and became the captain of his new 36 foot cabin cruiser he named “Paddles Up”. Tom was quite the charmer, he touched so many peoples hearts with his kind words, gentle soul and loving nature.

A true champion among men… he will be missed by all. 

A memorial service to honour Tom’s life will be held at Low & Low Funeral Home, 23 Main Street, Uxbridge on Friday April 10, 2026 at 2:00 PM.  Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM.  Reception to follow.  Private family interment of urn at a later time.
