JACOBSON, Ruth - It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Ruth Jacobson (nee Bernatt) formerly Beckerman on Thursday, May 16, 2024.
Ruth was born in Toronto, Canada, on March 4, 1939. She was the cherished wife of the late Paul Jacobson.
Ruth was a beloved mother to her children with Arnold Beckerman: Stacey (Beckerman) Neumin (Larry), the late Lori Beckerman (Richard), and Deirdre Beckerman (Howard). Devoted and involved "Bubbie" to Tai (Mike), Sheri, Lisa (Henry) and Jaclyn; Michel (Cheechee), Olivier; Alexandra, Jeremy (Shannon), and Madeleine (Mallory); and "Ulta-Bubbie" to Matteo. Ruth devoted her time and energy to fundraising for Pioneer Women/Na'amat.
For over 60 years she advocated for the needs of women and children, as a member and President of Club Beersheva. Ruth was an artist - painter, Chinese brush and oils, and sculptor. She gave tirelessly of herself for everyone and was a loving presence for all who were blessed to know her.
At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West, for Service on Friday, May 17th, at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow. Shiva at 67 Anchusa Drive, Richmond Hill, Sunday through Tuesday, from 1:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
