Taylor JamesTAYLOR, James Leslie   -   It is with great sadness that we announce that Jim Taylor passed away peacefully, December 24, 2022, in Toronto, aged 95.

Jim is survived by his younger sister, Dorothy (Len).

He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Katie; siblings, Lillian, George, and Ella (Don); and nephew, Wayne.

Fun-loving uncle to Bill (Mary), Bob (Sharon), Cathy, Gerry (MJ), and Janette. He will be missed by his many dear family members and friends.

Jim will always be remembered for his big heart, sense of humour and generosity. As a young man, he travelled the world with the Royal Canadian Navy (HMCS Magnificent) and always had a twinkle in his eye reliving his adventures to far off places for family.

Jim was a high school shop teacher for many years, eventually even building his own 26' Thunderbird sailboat.

He loved sharing his passion for sailing on Lake Ontario with family and friends. Through retirement, Jim again returned to travelling the world, this time on cruise ships with his siblings, where he loved taking part in the ship's after-dinner entertainment and games.

Jim was a big Blue Jays fan, enjoyed Friday nights playing cards with his neighbours, and of course, having friends visit for a cold beer – a pastime he enjoyed till the end.

Donations may be made to a Charity of Your Choice.
