DONNER, Diane Marie Donner

The family and friends of Diane Donner are very sad to announce her passing on July 21st. After several years Diane is now at peace, free of the pain and the frustration of her illness. Diane Marie Donner was a gentle soul with a firm hand, a believer in peace and quiet and God. She was a wonderful mom to Neil (Nicole), Leanne (woofer, Daisy), Eric (Amanda); Grammie to Ella and bestie of 40+ years to Pat. In her prime, Diane was an accomplished seamstress, volunteer extraordinaire at Holy Family for many years and her baking skills were none to compare. Next to doting over her granddaughter Ella, Diane relished in her 4-legged friends Murphy, Maggie and Muggsy (the M squad). In her later years she looked forward to long car rides with Maggie in tow. She laughed daily at the antics of the birds and the squirrels at the feeder and truly loved to watch the flowers grow. Diane was an avid reader, her library card her most prized possession as a child. She would often quip, “if it is written, it is meant to be read”….every line, every correction, every cartoon, every ad, every point of punctuation. No doubt she is editing this as it is written

We will miss the lovely lady dearly and remember her fondly.

Cremation services were held. Memorial Mass will take place on Friday, July 31, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 440 King St. E. Hamilton, ON.
