KOMOROWSKY, Irena - January 13, 1925 - December 27, 2022
Irena, beloved wife of the late Andrij and cherished Mama, of the late Jura, and of Roman and Lida (Peter), precious grandmother of Andrij/Andrei (Anna), Oleh, Natalia (Jay), Alexandra (Bailey), Nicholas, Lucamyr, and proud great-grandmother of Lyla, Owen, Yvette, Jaxson and Jayden, passed ever so peacefully and gently on December 27, 2022, during her nap, in the care of her daughter and caregiver, Luba.
With grace, she joined her loving husband, son and parents, Aleksander and Maria Netschypor. She lived a long and storied life, fleeing Lviv, Ukraine as a teenager, with her parents, from the brutal invasion of the Russian Soviet Army during the 2nd World War.

CIMICATA, Teresa - God called Teresa peacefully, on December 27, 2022 at the age of 90.
Reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Giovanni.
Loving mother to Sergio, his wife Michelina, and Joseph.
May she be the guardian angel to her grandchildren, Jordana, JohnMichael, and Kristina. Teresa's life was one filled with love for her family, her many friends, and for those whose lives she touched.
Her captivating stories created smiles, laughter, tears, and inspiration for her family.

Passionately loved wife of Lawlor (Bill); and mother to Barbra, Mary-Jo (predeceased 1994) and Jeffrey.
Best mother-in-law to Darryl (Newbury) and Sabina (Djedovic). Very loved grandmother to Sage, Connor and his partner Kathryn, Keegan, Sienna, Quinn, Sequoia and Talon.
Ceil deeply loved her siblings, Barbara, Kenny, Phillip and Justin (deceased 1990). Ceil was a great animal lover, and particularly loved her dogs.

HEWLETT, Terence James - After bravely coping with several health issues, Terry passed away unexpectedly at the age of 82 on Monday, December 26, 2022.
Terry leaves behind his devoted wife of 32 years, Margaret "Maggie" Cleveland; sister, Marlene Butcher; nieces, Jill Hewlett, Dena Hewlett (Ian), Angie Hewlett (Jamie) and their children; and many close longtime friends.
A former Ontario Public Service employee, Terry will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, quick mind, dry sense of humour and never-ending quest to solve the most complicated issues and problems.

YUILL, Alan Ancrum - 1927 - 2022 Alan quietly passed away over Christmas.
Sadly missed by Margaret, wife of 68 years; Little Harry, Ian, Lisa, Samanatha, Landon, and Heather.
Alan spent 10 years in Northern Canada as an HBC fur trader and Outpost Manager.

KORNOBIS, Margaret "Peggy" Emily (nee ELING) - Peggy Kornobis, age 84, passed away surrounded by family and her parish Priest, on December 26, 2022, due to pneumonia and complications of Myasthenia Gravis, and her stroke of November 2020.
She was born May 17, 1938 in Meerut, India, to Thomas Henry and Sybil Edna Eling.
She was the youngest and last surviving sibling of four, Derek, Monica, and Nigel Eling.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Tanya; son, Illya and Pina (wife); grandchildren, Emilly (Fouad), Vance, Chris (Sandra), and Nathan; and great-grandchildren, Christopher, Charlotte and Caleb; stepdaughter, Liane and family; and her many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

KOSIC, Mirko - 1940 - 2022 On his way to a Caribbean cruise, Mirko was struck by a car while crossing the street in Florida.
He died two days later in the presence of his beloved wife and children, never having regained consciousness.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Mirjana; their children Ben and Michael (Malini); and his grandchildren, Martin, James, Victor, Sasha, and Clove, who were the Jewels of his life and he shared a wonderful family celebration with them just 24 hours before his accident.

CHIPMAN, Cara Bernice "Bobbie" - In the early hours of Monday, December 26, 2022, at the age of 97, Bobbie passed away, peacefully, at her home in Toronto, a mere six days following the death of her beloved husband, Thomas Brown Chipman.
She was predeceased by her dear brothers, Norman and Richard Folliott.
Although Bobbie and Tom did not have offspring of their own, they had a large extended family of loving nephews, nieces and godchildren.
Born and raised in Toronto, Bobbie was active in a number of charitable organizations including the IODE and the Cradleship Creche among others.

ROCKETT, Nina Katherine (nee TANCOCK) - With great sadness we share, in her 95th year, that our beloved Nina peacefully passed away on December 26, 2022, with her family by her side.
Nina was predeceased by her adoring husband, Lloyd "Rocky."
She leaves behind her devoted children, Alison (Stef), Jennifer (Lorenzo), Graham (Linda), Margot (Gibran); and six grandchildren, beloved nieces, nephews, friends, neighbours and Milo.

MARRONE, Fiorina Rosalba "Rosie" (nee FILIPPELLI) - August 11, 1958 - December 25, 2022
Fiorina Rosalba (Rosie) Marrone (nee Filippelli), was born in Toronto, Ontario, to Maria and Giovanni Filippelli, on August 11, 1958.
Rosie was the oldest of a large group of cousins and took great pride in being the family matriarch, always giving her time and energy to those in need, no questions asked.
Rosie married her best friend, Louie, in September of 1984, and shared 38 wonderful, loving years by his side. Her two daughters, Amanda (Kyle) and Stephanie (Matthew), were her greatest joys, along with her four grandchildren, Luke, Adeline, Liam and Mikaela, and granddogs, Tai and Max.

McDONALD, Herbert "Art" Arthur - In Loving Memory It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of "Art" on December 24, 2022, at the age of 71, after a short secondary encounter with cancer.
Son of the late Dr. Ida Brill and Herbert Earl McDonald from Teeswater, ON. "Art," as he is so affectionately called by those who knew him in Toronto for over 50 years, will be missed by his life partner, Alfred Miller.
He will also be missed by his many friends in Toronto. He enjoyed his time as a Funeral Director for almost 50 years with Steele's Memorial, which was succeeded by seventeen years of retirement.

LIDSTONE, H. Louise (nee WHALE) - Passed away at her home, on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at 81 years of age, after a struggle with cancer.
Louise was an avid traveler, sewer, crafter, and dog lover.
She studied Food Science at Ryerson, which sparked a life-long interest in food and nutrition. Her "retirement project" was to renovate the historic George Lawrence home in Virgil, creating both a home and an antique shop.
She continued to work as an antique dealer until 2020 and was an integral part of the Lakeshore Antiques & Treasures Co-Operative.

KENNEDY, Catherine (nee MacKENDRICK) - Cathy was a loyal and compassionate friend, supportive and loving daughter, sister, and aunt, and confidante to many.
She was a guidepost to her son, Liam, offering an endless supply of unconditional love, trust, and books to read.

WALSH, John - April 16, 1937 – December 24, 2022
John was born in Barnamaghery, County Down, Northern Ireland, at the tail end of the Great Depression and with World War II on the horizon.
John grew up in rural Ireland, and was an avid football player before embarking for an adventure with his childhood and lifelong friend, Patrick Miskelly (RIP). Together they sailed for Canada in 1962, making their way to Toronto.
John was later joined in Toronto by his sister, Kathleen, his brother, Gerard and their families. John found employment with C.N. Rail and retired from the company after 33 years.

TAYLOR, James Leslie - It is with great sadness that we announce that Jim Taylor passed away peacefully, December 24, 2022, in Toronto, aged 95.
Jim is survived by his younger sister, Dorothy (Len).

MARTIN, Lino - 1926 - 2022 Peacefully passed away at home, on Friday, December 23, 2022, at the age of 96.
Lino was born in Azzano Decimo, and emigrated from Cimpello, Friuli, Italy, in 1949. He arrived at Pier 21 in Halifax, and started a new life culminating as a successful businessman.

Sandra was a beloved sister to Sue (Mike) Petican, Rob (Chris Henderson) Harrison, Maureen (Kyle McDougall) Harrison, Ed (Lisa) Harrison, Kim (Gerry) Pansolin, and Peter (Vicki) Harrison; aunt to Lindsey Pansolin, Katie Pansolin, Jim Harrison and Bradley Harrison; and extended family to Richard Fulton and Eleanor Fulton.
Sandra was an avid reader, antique dealer and a dispenser of good advice to her siblings.

RESZETNIK, Tess - 1937 - 2022 Tess died peacefully at Dorothy Ley Hospice on Friday, December 23, 2022, in her 85th year.
Beloved wife of Martin of 53 years, they shared a love that will last an eternity. Loving mother of Marty (Vicky), Ann Marie, Edward (Ann) and Michele (Steve); and adoring Nana to Alexandra, Katharine, Rebecca, Nicholas, Grace, Ryan, Ainsley and Brandon.
Dear sister of Jennie, Ed (predeceased), Eileen and John; and Aunt Tessie to her many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Born in Toronto to Andrew and Mary Wesolowski, Tess started her working career as an elementary school teacher; shortly thereafter meeting her husband Martin at a Valentine's Day dance.

CARR, Stanley Walter Henning - December 18, 1928 - December 23, 2022
On December 23, 2022, our dad decided it was time to call it a Life Well-Lived.
He spent a lifetime working, living, and playing in Toronto, whose streets and good restaurants he knew like the back of his hand.
Dad had a passion for golf and the Thornhill Golf Club fairways where, over the forty years he was a member, forged lifelong friendships and many a bet was won and lost. He had an adventurous spirit and was kind and generous to his family and friends.
He brought out the kid in all of us.
