TKACHUK, Starr Lydia (nee LINYCIA) Tkachuk - Born March 1, 1934, passed very peacefully in the loving hands of her caregiver Mimi, on January 8, 2024, in her home in Toronto, one day after the former Ukrainian Orthodox Christmas.
Her other primary caregivers who gave day and night support are: Isabel, Julie, Alice, Nelly and Eliana and many others.
Many thanks to her doctors, nurses and especially geriatrician Dr. Tal, at St. Joseph's Health Centre. Starr, with an extra "r" like a ray of sunlight, had a glint of starlight in her eyes.

Born May 29, 1936, the only son of Dr. Harry Fisher and Jennie Fisher (nee Gallagher) of Brighton, Sussex, England and formerly of Dublin, Ireland.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Maeve (nee McNamara); and is survived by his daughter, Clare (Paul), son, Gavin (Pauline); and grandchildren, Liam, Alannah, and Aidan.
He was educated at Downside School, Somerset, England.

BLACK, Martha Black - Died, of cancer, at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, on January 7, 2024.
She was the beloved wife and companion to Paul Hutner; and sister to Elizabeth Black (Stephen Clarke).
Martha was born in New Westminster on July 18, 1945, and attended school in North Vancouver, Leaside, Stratford and Guelph.
She obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Trinity College, University of Toronto.

PLUNKETT, John Landy Plunkett - Died early in the morning on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the age of 92.
John lived a full, rich life.
From his early adventures as a water taxi driver on Centre Island to managing and growing a small business in downtown Toronto (Landy's Church Supplies), to becoming a savvy dividend investor, he displayed a willingness and talent to enter into and conquer any new challenge.

Born September 9, 1956, beloved daughter of Marilyn and John Roulston.

COOPER, Milton Clinton Eugene - With great sadness, the family of Milton Clinton Eugene Cooper announce his peaceful passing on January 6, 2024, at Trillium Health Hospital.
Milt was born at home on August 19, 1931, in Carman, Manitoba, to Arthur and Leila (Copeland), and lived there with his parents and three sisters, Grace, Enid and Selma, until the family moved to Winnipeg in 1943.
Milt lived a full and happy life, thanks in large part to his wife, Eva (née Gabriel), who he was fond of claiming only married him for his car.

Passed peacefully, of natural causes at St. Joseph's Hospital in Toronto with his family by his side, in his 96th year.
Fred was a loving father to Andrew Pierre (Teresa) and Johan Wolff (Michaela); and a cherished grandfather to Rochelle, Camille (James), Sophia, Magnus, Dominic, Toa, Isabelle, Sacha and Nina.
He will be sadly missed by his brother, Cecil (Eleanor); and fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews and extended family.

MacPHERSON, Susan Graham Macpherson - 77, of Peterborough, died peacefully in hospital on January 3, 2024, surrounded by family.
Susan loved bowling, and the eff word, swearing in general, and calling people unpublishable names.
If she called you one of these things, though, there was a pretty good chance she loved you a lot. She loved smoking weed. She loved Sudoku.
She loved John Prine, and music in general. She loved drinking coffee, smoking cigs and shooting the breeze.

PITA, Antonio Pita, Jr. - It is with sadness that his family announces the passing of Antonio Pita on January 3, 2024, at the age of 81 years.
Antonio leaves to mourn: his children, Gabriela (Glenn Urquhart), and Patrice (Rafael Tolentino); his grandchildren, Olivia, Jessica, Daniella, and Michelle; his surviving brother, Jose Pita; first wife and mother to his children, Cleide Pita, and longtime ex-partner and dear friend, Teresa Pimenta.
He is also remembered for his beloved son, Cristiano Pita, who passed in 2000, as well as the cherished family he adored as his own: Manuel Pacheco, his wife, Liliane, and their children, Vanessa and Lucas, who mourn the loss of their grandfather.
